By choosing farm-to-table dining, you're not only savoring delicious cuisine but also contributing to a more sustainable food system. Our recommendations for local farm-to-table restaurants are: Americana and The Naked Pig.

These markets offer an opportunity to support local farmers and artisans while enjoying fresh produce, artisanal products, and handmade crafts. Be sure to bring your reusable bags to reduce plastic waste or grab one from Bolton House before heading out.

Participate in these activities to deepen your understanding of the region's unique ecosystems.

Choose eco-friendly accommodations that have adopted sustainable practices, such as energy-efficient lighting, water-saving fixtures, and recycling programs.

At the Bolton House in Santa Rosa, all of the linens and towels are from natural/organic fibers such as linen and cotton. Our guests can use the filtered water tap and avoid using plastic water bottles. The house includes energy-saving nest thermostats upstairs and downstairs. The ensuite bathroom was recently renovated using natural stone, lime paint and plaster, while conserving as much of the original beadboard as possible. The kitchen features one-of-a-kind pottery which comes from Heath Studios in Sausalito (they are B-Corp and Green Business Certified). The mattresses at The Bolton House are made from organic and natural materials, and the cleaning team uses all natural cleaning supplies from companies such as CleanCult, Dr. Bronners, and Force of Nature. Hand soaps, shampoos, etc. are also all-natural products.

By engaging in these eco-friendly activities during your stay in Santa Rosa, you not only enhance your travel experience but also contribute to the region's sustainability efforts.
